Christmas is coming and when you have children it means it gets all that little more exciting, doesn’t it? I’ve found that with each year that Jake has got older, Christmas has become so much more to him (obviously it is also his birthday) and I am loving finding new ways to make it even more fun! Last year, we were lucky enough to be asked to review ‘The Truly Magical’ Magic Santa Letter so when they got into contact again this year I was so happy. With 2 little boys to think about now (I know, one is a baby but I’m all about the nostalgia!) I want to make these occasions as memorable and special as I can.

Magic Santa Letter offer a wide variety of Christmas keepsakes from baby’s first Christmas letters to a reply from Santa with a choice of different templates, letter to Santa kits as well as a selection of Christmas gifts.

This year, the boys were asked to review a letter to Santa Kit and the Truly Magical Santa Letter.

Letter to Santa Kit

I love this idea. We have written letters in the past but haven’t had this opportunity to write one that actually goes somewhere and to then receive a personalised response. At just £5.99, the letter to Santa Kit is great value for money. The kit includes:

  • Mr & Mrs Claus creator cut out insert
  • A pre-addressed return envelope
  • Your Letter to Santa template
  • Sent in a personalised North Pole express envelope.

Jake was over the moon with his letter and got straight to work on writing out how good he’s been and asking me to help him to write down all the toys he’s got his eye on! This activity was perfect for him as he’s just started school which meant he was eager to write his own name, discuss what the letter said and ask for help with spelling.

The template allows your child to select tick boxes to say how good they have been this year, it has space for them to list what they have been up to, the number 1 thing they would love to get for Christmas and another item. However, if they don’t want to use the template they can write out their very own letter using the blank sheet which is also in the pack.

Once it was all completed by Jake and William (aka me) we popped to the post box to send to Santa and eagerly await his reply.

Truly Magical Santa Letter

Now, I don’t want to burst your magical bubble here but Santa doesn’t really reply… it was me!!

I ordered both of the letters at the same time but altered the dispatch date for the truly magical letter so that those arrived after the Santa kits- clever eh?!

For £7.99 you get all of this:

  • Your personal letter printed on luxury thick cut scroll paper
  • Good child certificate
  • Santa ‘Stop Here’ door hanger
  • Christmas colouring sheets
  • Magic Reindeer Food
  • Sent in an authentic North Pole envelope

Plus:

  • You can choose from a selection of templates or write your own
  • You can choose the dispatch date

I chose the reply from Santa for Jake and the Elves are busy for William so they both had different responses which I knew would make Jake feel very special (and to make it far more believable for him).

I was expecting Jake to be happy about the letters but I certainly wasn’t expecting to almost have tears from him! As I read his letter to him which included details of him starting school, of having his brother William, knowing where he lives and Santa telling him the toy he asked for had him completely silenced. He was clearly very moved by it and it was a moment I will cherish.

Yes, I did get the decorations out just for the occasion!

He then very excitedly helped William open his and loved listening to what Santa said the Elves were up to.

I said this last year but it is still true, the letters are just so beautiful and the idea of sending a certificate is a lovely touch for your child. We now have reindeer food to put out on Christmas Eve, some fun sheets to colour in and a door hanger to go on their bedroom door handles.
