It isn’t often that my husband appears on my blog but when Jacamo got in contact to ask if he’d like to review some clothing, he suddenly decided he would like to show his face! As a current fan of Jacamo and having only bought items just recently, he knew that their range was really good and he had already banked some items in his mind for his next shopping spree– which only ever happens around once a year because Rob likes good quality, he looks for clothing items that will last and that can be worn in a couple of different ways in order to get the most use out of them. Jacamo ticks these boxes for him and it didn’t take him long to select two new Ben Sherman shirts from their website.
He opted for a black shirt with an interesting red and white dot pattern and a smart/casual blue gingham shirt. Rob loves a shirt for when we are going out somewhere nice and he always finds them comfortable to wear. The two styles he chose here could be worn with jeans, shorts or smart trousers so they are very versatile.
The Jacamo website is easy to navigate with clear images, drop-down menus and we particularly love the fact that they explain how the item could be worn and what look you could achieve. It is tailored to suit every man’s needs. For instance, the gingham shirt is described like this:
“This Ben Sherman classic short-sleeved gingham shirt is a great addition to your wardrobe. Featuring a button-down collar and tab branded front spade pocket. The back box pleat gives a smart yet casual look, making it perfect for any occasion.”
This makes shopping so simple especially for a man who may not know what items would team up well, how they could also be worn or perhaps doesn’t have a lot of fashion knowledge. Jacamo’s aim is to cater for all of your needs whether you like to go to the gym, go out to the pub, feel comfy or be smart they want you to be able to #LiveYourMoment.
BEN SHERMAN MULTI GINGHAM SHORT SLEEVE SHIRT
I love this shirt. I know it isn’t about me but it is a little because I’m the one who has to look at him! Rob bought a pair of light blue shorts for our family holiday to Florida in March and I knew this shirt would be perfect with them. He’d had in his mind that it would be a shirt worn with jeans but mixing and matching is great fun to do and this shirt could easily go from a daytime look to a nighttime look really easily.
The bold, striking colours are fun and funky for the day but then the material is smart which means it could definitely be worn for a night out. We had a family barbecue and this look was perfect for the occasion.
And I was right about those shorts! The pale blue really complements the bold shirt plus those could also be worn casually or smart.
Rob found the fit really comfortable and could move around freely without any restrictions on his arms. He told me that it definitely feels as though it will last as it is such good quality. He went for a medium in this style of shirt and it retails at £55.
BEN SHERMAN SHADOW SPOT SHIRT
This shirt was a little more daring and I was really surprised when Rob chose it but I gave him the benefit of the doubt and waited to see how it looked on.
Well, this time it was Rob’s turn to prove me wrong. The shirt looked so good!
This is definitely more of a going out shirt and looks fab teamed up with a dark pair of jeans and brown boots. Rob wore it for a family meal.
Just like with the gingham shirt, this one fits lovely in a medium, was £55 and again was very comfortable on. Luckily both can be machine washed and ironed as they are made from cotton so no extra costs for dry cleaning here.
Rob is really happy with his choices and these will be staples in his wardrobe for years to come.
