As a parent blogger, I am usually approached to review toys for one of the children. Now that’s all well and good but what about us bigger kids, eh?! We like to have fun too! Well, luckily for us, Wicked Uncle asked my biggest kid (yep, the hubby) to review some of their products from their brand new range, Big Kidz.
After a peruse of their website, it was easy to find suitable items from their big selection of games, puzzles, brain teasers and more.
The first item that caught the hubby’s eye was this Air Shot game for £19.95
We both knew that this would also be a hit with Jake too. Even though it states ages 8+ on the box it is perfect for any nerf gun enthusiasts! It comes with 2 guns, nerf style pellets (with suction ends), 5 styrofoam balls and the air machine to shoot them from. It doesn’t come with batteries and does require 4 large 1.5v ones which aren’t the usual that you keep in the house so to avoid disappointment I would buy these first!
The game is easy to set up and use and definitely provides plenty of fun…
And you can see that we are still making good use of the face paint from the last review we did for Wicked Uncle!
Think Outside the Box puzzle
The next product that we spotted was this Think Outside the Box puzzle box, £6.95.
The idea is to find out how to open this box which seems impossible at first glance. Hubby loves a good puzzle and has the patience to sit and work something out, no matter how long it takes. Me, on the other hand, cannot
waste spend my time on things like this and after battling with trying to open this box for about 10 minutes I must admit I gave up and looked the answer up on the website!! Of course, hubby walked in and sussed it out in a matter of moments… clever sod!
IQ Puzzler Pro
Lastly, we chose a puzzle that all of us could find fun in doing, the IQ Puzzler Pro, 3D and 2D Brain Teaser for £9.95.
This was really good fun to play around with and even though I don’t usually like puzzles, there was something quite therapeutic about this. Hubby mastered this immediately too… course he did… sigh. Even Jake had a go and as the puzzle comes with an instruction manual, it is easy to see how each shape, design or pyramid can be made so even smaller people can have a go… or me! Haha
These may say they are for Big Kidz but we’ve found fun the whole family with them and they have certainly kept my boys very quiet and entertained over the weekend. There is so much more to their range too, which means next time I think I will be selecting items just. For. Me!
Why not take a look and see what takes your fancy?
