It is official, I can finally shout it from the rooftops “We are Turtle Tots Ambassadors!” and I have been dying to tell you all for weeks now. But I had to wait (along with 5 other eager bloggers from around the country) until the official announcement day on the May 1st.

When I first saw Turtle Tots advertising for a Brand Ambassador I was really excited but at the same time I was imagining how many other people would be applying and I know how many amazing bloggers there are out there. But I went for it regardless and kept my fingers firmly crossed. So you can imagine how overwhelmed I was when I received the email telling me we’d been chosen! I say we, but I am pretty sure it was our cheeky William who won them over!

If you have been following his story, you will know that he is a bit of a miracle. He managed to battle through my waters breaking at 30 weeks, Group B strep (me not him thankfully), an infection around the sac caused by my waters leaking for 2 weeks and a very fast birth at week 32. He was born weighing just 4lb 2oz. However, he continued to show us how tough he was by making amazing progress through NICU and coming home after a 3-week stay. He is now a chubby 5-month-old and looks like a completely different baby! He may still be a little small (he should be 8 weeks younger) but he is very switched on and such a happy child considering everything he has already been through.

We have already taken him swimming once and he did pretty well before he got a little cold and was being splashed too much by bigger children but by the time we begin our Turtle Tots course he would have been on holiday to Crete where I am hoping he will get a lot more experience and become a bit more relaxed with it all. He has his big brother to learn from after all, and even though he’s never had swimming lessons himself, he has always loved the water.

Throughout our ambassadorship, I will be documenting William’s progress and letting you know what a Turtle Tots swimming course entails, how we are finding the experience and letting you know about the benefits of teaching your child to swim from a young age. I am really hoping to get fantastic photos of him in the water like the ones above of Jake.

And to kickstart the 2018 ambassadorship, Turtle Tots are celebrating by offering up a fantastic prize to all my readers to set their own little ones up for swimming. How do you fancy a chance of winning £50 worth of Turtle Tot merchandise?! All you have to do is enter via the Gleam box below.

Also included is a free taster session of Turtle Tots baby and toddler swimming classes.
