Why Epcot Flower and Garden Festival Is a Must-See!

why Epcot flower and garden festival is a must-see!

Epcot’s flower and garden festival is an annual event which usually runs between March and June. It takes a whole year and approximately 400 horticulturists to prepare for this event and once you step inside you can see precisely why it is worth all of that effort!

“The culmination of those efforts are 30-million blooms, 240 floating flower planters, 700 gardens, nearly 100 Disney character topiaries, 30 flower towers, and one beautiful butterfly tapestry of flowers all culminate in an incredibly vibrant time of year for Epcot.”

We were so lucky to be in Walt Disney World just as this festival was taking place and I wanted to share with you some of the amazing sites we saw which I think will be all you need to realise why the Epcot flower and garden festival is a must-see!

The flowers start as soon as you arrive with this gorgeous display of butterflies and giant flowers in front of the iconic Epcot Golf Ball which is in fact really named the Spaceship Earth Geosphere

Once in the park, we were drawn to the spectacular display in and around the water

Epcot is a park of different areas based on countries from around the world, as well as space. Each area has its own characters dedicated to it in relation to the theme of the film. Stitch here is in the space area as he is an alien…

We absolutely loved it and even though we didn’t see all the characters and flowers, it was so worth the trip. I definitely need to book a trip back to enjoy the rest!

  1. I’ve been to the Flower and Garden Festival in 2017. I absolutely loved it and hope to go again someday. If I lived close, I would definitely get an annual pass and just go there for a nice walk every weekend.
