The Christmas Tag

The lovely Lauren from Scrapbook Blog nominated me to take part in this year’s Christmas Tag. Blogger tags are designed to get to know a blogger a little more and I have previously taken part in this one here, but this time around the questions only have Christmas in mind. So, let’s get started… Continue reading “The Christmas Tag”

Finding Your Girl Tribe As An Adult

Sometimes, I feel as though using the term ‘girl tribe’ as a full grown adult seems a bit silly to some BUT I love the feeling it gives. I mean, for starters, I don’t have an issue with the word girl, I actually struggle to think of myself as a woman. I don’t feel or act quite old enough to use that word for myself and still think of a woman as somebody older and far more sophisticated (so, er, def not me!) 5 Top Tips To Reduce Your Car Expenses

When it comes to family life one of our main focusses (other than trying to juggle life!) is to budget as much as we can in order to have enough money each month to spend on having fun and making memories. One of our biggest expenditures over the years has come from running 2 cars, however, having the freedom that my car gives me is something I could never be without– I couldn’t begin to imagine having to work my day around a bus schedule. So, it is most definitely a must-have item for our family and I know I am very lucky that we are in a position financially to run multiple cars. Yet this doesn’t stop me from wanting to save money here too so here are my 5 top tips to reduce car expenses in the long run. Continue reading “5 Top Tips To Reduce Your Car Expenses”

Christmas is NOT a Competition, Don’t Let It Overwhelm You

Over the last week or so I have become more and more enraged as the Christmas season has gradually crept up… a bit too prematurely for my liking, I mean is it just me or is ‘Christmas’ getting earlier each year?! Santa in November anyone?!

Now, I am all for celebrating. I am definitely all for the pretty lights, the cosy nights by the fire, the songs (I love the songs!) Continue reading “Christmas is NOT a Competition, Don’t Let It Overwhelm You”

7 Reasons Why Our Florida Holiday Is Going To Be Amazing

I am so excited to be writing this post because by actually writing it down it makes it all so much more real… We are going to Florida! Since I was a child I have dreamt of walking barefoot down those beautiful white sandy beaches, paddling in the brilliant blue sea, exploring the varied coastline and of course, visiting Disney World! A Year of Breastfeeding

We made it to a year of breastfeeding and I just want to celebrate that fact. I listed making it to a year as one of my 9 things I wanted to do differently with my second child in this post mostly because I loved breastfeeding Jake and was so upset when we had to give up due to him biting (and drawing blood!) I don’t know why else a year was in my mind, I guess it just felt like a big accomplishment especially with breastfeeding rates being so low in this country. Review | Getting Christmas Ready With Magic Santa Letter

Christmas is coming and when you have children it means it gets all that little more exciting, doesn’t it? I’ve found that with each year that Jake has got older, Christmas has become so much more to him (obviously it is also his birthday) and I am loving finding new ways to make it even more fun! Last year, we were lucky enough to be asked to review ‘The Truly Magical’ Magic Santa Letter so when they got into contact again this year I was so happy. With 2 little boys to think about now (I know, one is a baby but I’m all about the nostalgia!) I want to make these occasions as memorable and special as I can.
