How To Make a Homemade Cream Cleaner

how to make a homemade cream cleaner

Making my own cleaning products is now just a part of my routine. I no longer traipse the cleaning product aisles in the shops, I am no longer drawn into the ads and I do not miss those chemical smells around my home. Instead, I can feel confident that I am using all-natural and safe products with zero toxins which is better for our health and also better for the environment. Now I know not everybody will want to spend a lot of their time making their own products but this is why I will only ever share the simplest recipes I can create. As a busy Mum of 2, I also cherish my time so being able to whip up a cleaning product quickly and easily is at the top of my list. I have previously shared how to make a surface spray, window cleaner, toilet bombs and how to clean your washing machine naturally so now on to my favourite homemade cleaning product, my cream cleaner.

You Will Need:

Bicarbonate of Soda

Castile Soap

Cooled Boiled Water

Essential Oils (I like lemon and orange especially for the bathroom)

Scales or Measuring Cups

Large Bowl

Spoon

The Method:

Measure out 10 oz bicarb (around 1 cup)

Pop this into a mixing bowl

Add 4 tablespoons castile soap

Add approximately 8 tablespoons of cooled boiled water (I say approximately because I feel it is a personal choice as to how you like the consistency)

Mix well

Add 10-15 drops of your chosen essential oils

Mix again taking the time to get all of those ingredients into a nice smooth mixture

If you feel it is too watery, just add more bicarb. If you feel it is too thick, just add a little more water. Once you start to use this often, you will be able to decide how you like it to feel as you use it.

Pour into an airtight container and it is ready for use.

Feel free to save, print and laminate this graphic to keep as a reference at home.

How To Use

I use my cream cleaner with either a reusable sponge or cloth. Make the cloth damp and scoop out some of the cleaner and apply it to your chosen surface. Work it in well and you will quickly see how it effortlessly removes dirt and grime. Once completed you can simply rinse it away. Use a soft cloth or some white vinegar to then shine up taps and plug holes.

This is honestly one the best cleaners I have ever used, I use it for sinks, bathrooms, on skirting boards, doors, marks on walls and so on. It is safe to be used all around the home.
