Visiting Moors Valley Country Park

As a family, we love being outdoors and discovering new places. We first visited Moors Valley Country Park a few years back but didn’t get to stay very long and then just kept forgetting to drive back to explore it further. Located in Dorset, Ringwood near to Bournemouth, it is around an hours drive for us so it definitely needed a whole day dedicated to returning and now that both of the boys are at the stage of being able to enjoy things together, it seemed like the right time to head back down there.

Pumpkin Picking at Pickwell Farm

As Instagram and Facebook have slowly been filling up with beautiful pictures of pumpkin patches I felt as though I was missing out on this tradition and couldn’t believe I hadn’t heard of pumpkin picking sooner. As a huge fan of Autumn and Halloween, I knew I had to find somewhere to visit with the family to give this a go ourselves.

It didn’t take long to find out that Pickwell Farm in Netley, Southampton was clearly a favourite amongst parents in and around Hampshire. Living in Basingstoke, it only took around 40 minutes to get there and this trip is definitely worth it as you can see by what we were greeted with as we arrived!

Our Easter Days’ Out Round-up

We love going on days out in and around Hampshire. We are lucky that we live close to other counties and can explore all they have to offer. We love discovering new areas, researching where is good with kids and getting to know new places.
