Why I Need To Learn To Fall Back In Love With Christmas

As a child, Christmas was always a magical time of the year. My family would go all out with get-togethers, decorations, food and gifts. We had a real tree every year, we would visit all the family and have the most amazing Christmas dinner cooked by my Nan. Yes, as an adult it’s not been quite so exciting but it has continued to be a time of year I have enjoyed.

Things took a bit of a u-turn during the Christmas of 2013 when I went into labour

Our Trip to Little Street

Little Street is an indoor play centre with a twist:

“Responding to children’s love of role play, we have created a realistic street designed with little people in mind. Featuring a supermarket, construction site, cafe, beauty salon, fire service, medical centre and more; our Little Street is a scaled down version of a typical town, inspiring children to explore life in the world around them”

Little Street Website

After I featured it in my post 10 Activities To Do With Your Kids In The Winter I felt that it was only right that I visited Little Street and found out exactly how good it was for myself… we were not disappointed.

The Battle of Fitting Children’s Clothes

I don’t know about you but I am pretty fed up with trying to shop for clothes for my son. At almost three we have had the same issue since he was about 7 months old; clothes just never seem to come up right. When he was newborn he fed really well and had the typical baby podge he would fill out most of his clothes and as they came in 3-month stages I found it very easy to choose a selection to fit. But as he began to

10 Activities To Do With Your Kids In The Winter

As the days grow shorter, colder and wetter it’s easy to feel as though all you want to do is sit on the sofa, drink lots of hot chocolate and hide away until the summer makes a comeback. Then you remember that you now own a tiny person and this is far from their idea of how a day should go!

The beautiful sunny day’s out to country parks, the beach, going for picnics or playing in the garden are now not always possible in the winter months and you have to try and come up with new activities to fill your week. This change in weather can also really affect our moods and having less to do and feeling trapped inside the house can add to this low feeling. I have decided to put together a helpful list to help you re-discover the fun activities that you can still do with your little one(s) during the winter months.

I am currently on a few parenting pages on social media and have noticed that sleep is one of the most popular topics being discussed and alongside that, the term sleep regression is cropping up more frequently. Wherever The Train Takes Us: Visiting Hythe

Visiting Hythe was a last-minute decision for my birthday this year but I am so glad that my husband suggested it. Jake had begged and begged us to take him on a train so we decided to combine my trip with his – he is train mad! We had originally planned a trip to London but with colds and tonsillitis getting to us we opted for the closer city of Southampton which provides an easy gateway across to Hythe.
