It’s funny how you can be holding a newborn who can’t even focus their eyes yet, and still you get a sense, a little whisper of the kind of person they might grow into. Parents swear their baby was cautious from day one, or stubborn, or strangely observant.

Some families turn to astrology as a way to understand these early traits and appreciate the quirks that make each child unmistakably themselves. A lot of parents end up reading about traits on the Nebula site, because sometimes the descriptions oddly match what they’re already seeing at home.

Aries: Born to Move

Let’s start with Aries, mostly if you have one, they won’t wait for their turn anyway. Aries babies have a kind of “forward motion” to them, even before the motor skills catch up. An Aries newborn tries determinedly to wiggle out of a swaddle that other babies found comforting. 

There’s a fire under them. Little bursts of temper, yes, but also joy that arrives just as fast. Their talents show up in bravery and initiative: they don’t wait to be shown what to do.

Taurus: Comfort Comes First
