Review | The Mozy- An Outdoors Wrap With A Difference
*Paid Collaboration
You may have realised by now that we are a very outdoorsy family. We love exploring new places, going on long walks and being close to nature. What you may not have realised about me is that I cannot stand being cold. In fact, once my body gets too cold I find it hard to warm up and that can often put a dampener on a day out. So, on those chillier days good clothing, a warm jacket and a blanket are often taken out with us especially if we are sitting somewhere for a picnic or on the beach. However, a blanket doesn’t really do a great job. With gaps around the underneath of you, the constant re-aligning of it due to the kids jumping on you and the lack of consistent warmth, sometimes it just doesn’t seem worth it and I thought I was just destined to forever be moaning that I am cold. But then Get The Mozy contacted me…The Mozy is a brand new thermal wrap which wraps all the way around your lower half of your body, that fixes in place with velcro, that allows movement without any restrictions and has a thermal engineered design which prevents convective heat loss. Needless to say, I was very excited to give it a try and with a UK holiday booked we had the perfect opportunity to put the wrap through its paces for our Mozy review.
More On The Mozy
The idea of the Mozy was born because many of us enjoy the great outdoors, camping, watching our kids play sports and so on, but a blanket just doesn’t usually cut it. When Thermic Innovations LLC founder Charles was sat at his son’s chilly soccer game on a US October day he noticed how many parents were struggling to keep warm, how blankets fell down when they moved or stood up and how much of a distraction this was. He decided that he wanted to create a product that would tick all of the boxes for a wide variety of people and become the go-to item for their choice of activity. After more than 30 tried and tested innovations were designed the final Mozy idea was born. The Mozy is adjustable, it is snug and comfortable, it has handy pockets, a place for your keys, it has a snag-free hook and loop fastening, it is waterproof, windproof and also washable.
“The patent-pending, engineered design of the wrap features Sustained Heat Retention™ to prevent convective heat loss and keeps body temperatures from dropping in the cold or windy weather. The durable outer shell material and fleece-lined interior with concealed elastics helps hug Mozy close to your body”

The Mozy Review
First Thoughts
When I first opened the parcel, the Mozy looked to me as being something that would be very functional. The materials felt of a good standard, the fleece inner was lovely and soft and when I tried it on in the house, I very quickly became far too warm which was a great sign that this was going to do an amazing job for me! I really liked the touches of having pockets, the ease of the velcro and how adjustable it was both around the waist and in length.
Using The Mozy
Taking a Cornish holiday in August does not guarantee you good weather, in fact, in the 2 weeks that we were there I think we saw almost every weather possible. However, this won’t ever stop us from venturing out and even sitting on a chilly beach, sipping on hot tea, because we are Brits and that is what we do! We had looked forward to this break for so long and we were most definitely going to make the most of it and the Mozy came in handy very quickly. On the second trip to the beach, the wind got up a little too much for my liking and placing a towel over my legs just wasn’t enough so I whipped the Mozy out, simply wrapped it around my body, fastened it in place and within moments I was so happy. My body temperature began to regulate at a more comfortable level and I sat watching the boys playing in the sand without secretly hoping that everyone would want to go soon. In fact, we ended up spending the entire day there and had a fantastic time.
Adjusting The Mozy
This is how easy it is to stand up, adjust and velcro the Mozy…
As you can see, your feet are out which means you can easily go from standing to sitting and you can also walk freely. There are also 4 velcro tabs up the side which will allow you to adjust the length.
The velcro runs down the left side just off centre. The elastic waistband means it fits a variety of sizes and is very comfortable.
You can wear the Mozy slightly open or all the way up. You can quickly undo it when required or for readjustment.
Other Features
The handy pockets mean that you can keep your valuables safe and don’t have to worry about taking a bag. This is perfect for security on the beach as the pockets aren’t obvious and you could fold the Mozy up whilst you went down to the sea and nobody would ever know that your phone and wallet were in there.
The Mozy also has a ring to attach your keys and you will be able to order 1 badge to stick onto a customisable velcro panel on the front too.
After such a success from using the Mozy on this trip to the beach, they came with us on every outing after. They were easy to pop into the boot of the car and as they fold up into a bag shape, they are so easy to carry.
Weather Test
We even got to put them through the waterproof test (thank you British summertime!)
I can confirm that I continued to stay warm plus I was dry and protected from the wind.
“Mozy is also made of waterproofed Nylon to keep you warm and dry. Even if your sideline spot is in the mud, you can toss Mozy in the washing machine with a cold water gentle cycle and then tumble dry on low”
Family Tested
Oh, and if you’re wondering about the rest of the family, yes, the boys also got in on the Mozy act… And they loved it too!
William was as snug as a bug in a (Mozy) rug after getting chilly in the sea. And when the fun is all just too much, the Mozy’s make a cosy place to take an afternoon nap…
We certainly put our two Mozy’s to the test on this break and by the end of the holiday, they were firm favourites and will continue to be so too.
When me and Rob were sat discussing how good these had been for us in Cornwall, we listed all the other ways in which we could use them– watching Jake at football practice (as it is now outside), on camping trips, on walks, for picnics, outdoor gigs, evening BBQ, star gazing nights or just sitting in the garden in the Autumn/Winter. They are also perfect if you are also doing 1000 hours outside like we are, as these will help you to stay outside for much longer.
Purchasing The Mozy
The Mozy is available for purchase here on their website or on Amazon here. The usual price is $149 but they have an introductory price of $99 on right now. The price may seem a little high but from my experience of using them, I would most definitely say that these are an investment. They do an amazing job, they are easy to transport, they are hardwearing, they can be easily cleaned and they are a product that the entire family can use.
Overall Thoughts
This is such an innovative product: it works perfectly, it is useful, it is versatile and it will last us years to come. If you enjoy being outdoors but don’t enjoy the cold, this is the wrap for you.

Very very tempted by one of these for after wild swimming! Was looking at full body options but I think actually this would work really well and be useful when out and about with my three year old to keep her warm too. Thanks for the thorough review!
The pocket for valuables is a great addition to what looks to be a fantastic product!
Great review and once lockdown ends I may just buy one.
Ooh this looks so good! I hate being cold too, it’s miserable. I’m going to have a look at one of these.
Such a great product to have when you’re out and about, especially at this time of year when it’s getting colder and wetter! Certainly would make a good addition to any camping or hiking supplies. I like how they fold into bags for ease of transport.
I love this wrap! It will hopefully help me keep warm on sit-downs on the beach in my home county of Cornwall.
I really like the sound of these for when I go to the beach
Love the boys looking snug and warm in them. They sound such a great idea.
Love the boys looking snug and warm in them.
This looks brilliant especially for the British weather haha!
That actually looks like an AMAZING product! I want one myself 😂
Love, Ashleigh
This is so handy to have for picnics, days out at the beach and just about anywhere! So multi-functional as well. Lovely!
Oh wow, this sounds like something I need to pack in my cat boot for unexpected days out after our lockdown
What a great idea! Much more practical than a standard blanket. It looks like you had lots of fun testing it out too!
These look like they might be genuinely useful, especially in the beach setting. Pretty tired of the standard blanket that just ends up getting ruined and sitting in the back of the car forever! Thank you for the detailed post!
I love the sound of the Mozy. We spend a lot of time outside and especially when we’re camping it can get very chilly and a blanket just doesn’t cut it!
This is so clever I love it! Gives you so much more time outside.
I’ve never seen anything like this before, what a clever idea! It’s perfect for so many days out. This is a really thorough review too.
Oh wow. I’m always cold so definitely going to look into getting one of these. I’m sat under a blanket as I type this with the heating on 🤣 thanks for reviewing this!
This is a great idea! Having a blanket that can be used in all of the possible scenarios and weather…and with pockets!
I followed you because you were supposed to be an eco-friendly blogger. Not sure how this is? It’s made from crude oil aka fossil fuels and shipped from America so has a massive carbon footprint! I came by this from your recent outdoors blog post and I’m very disappointed that you tell people they should be more eco, yet aren’t doing it yourself. Giveaways too. I thought eco lifestyle is about protecting the planets resources. Even if you do have a compost bin, it isn’t going to make much difference if you’re still consuming loads. Consumption is the problem, not waste. I hope you don’t take this the wrong way, just surprised after all the stuff you’ve been saying on Instagram lately about being eco friendly yet all your adverts and promotions say otherwise. Would appreciate your thoughts on why you do adverts for unsustainable brands.
Hi, I do cover eco-friendly topics yes but I do also cover parenting and lifestyle ones too. We are a very outdoorsy family and some items we use/need will be bought new as I have stated in both blogs in which the Mozy comes up. It is reusable, it works incredibly well, it is hardwearing and will probably last us our lifetime. I am aware that it is shipped from the US but then my reusable nappies have been shipped from China so I can’t really see there being any difference here. Most items we purchase in the UK will be shipped in, it is something out of our control. I am not perfect and have never claimed to be. I try to do my bit whilst being a busy Mum living in a modern world. Nobody can do it all, not when we require electricity, cars, purchase food in supermarkets and so on.
I run giveaways because either a) the company wants to and it helps them especially if they need to reach new customers, b) it rewards my followers, c) it helps those who maybe cannot afford an item, d) it reaches those who may not have thought about using reusable nappies for example. I am currently giving away 2 reusable nappies that I want to go to somebody who will use and reuse them. I don’t see a problem here. I choose who I work with very carefully and I turn a lot down as they aren’t a good fit but yes, I will choose some that don’t fall into the eco side because as I say I cover parenting and lifestyle too (see my tagline). I look at what may be useful, what may be well received and what we would genuinely use in our everyday lives. If an item makes life easier, helps others, is useful or interesting then I will choose to work with them. I recently worked with a company on children’s internet safety, that isn’t eco but it is very important and is relevant to many of my followers.
I haven’t and never will claim to be eco perfect as that just doesn’t exist. All I can do is my best and keep learning as I go (I actually only started looking into eco things around 2 years ago, before that I was a parenting blog). I wouldn’t say I tell anyone to be any way in their lives. I just share what we do, what I have used, what works, what doesn’t and what else I am going to look into. It is all a journey for all of us and I enjoy it and I enjoy seeing others make swaps as and where they can. I don’t expect anybody to do all I try, that just isn’t possible, and some don’t do any, they just enjoy the content. In all I do I must say I am honest, I am upfront and I hope to be relatable as a Mum of 2 boys.
Hmm, I dunno. I never said you had to be eco perfect, I just don’t think we should be able to pick or choose which choices we make (when we put ourselves in a position of authority). A mozy might work for you, but you’re telling others (who will do as you say) to buy it without discussing its environmental impact. Comparing that to a cloth nappy isn’t the same because nappies are an essential item.
I’m not shaming you or saying you should do it all, I just think as someone who calls themselves eco friendly you have a responsibility to encourage people to think about the production of a product and make the brands you advertise do better.
Sorry I thought giveaways were just a way to get you more followers. If baba and boo/ you want to give a nappy to someone who can’t afford it then then surely a giveaway isn’t the way to do it as surely loads of people who already use them will apply. Instagram is annoying cos everything feels like an advert all the time. I don’t see the problem with home security? You’re getting confused with my point.
I don’t tell anyone to buy anything, I simply try and review and give my opinion. I personally have found this product as being an essential as it allows us to have more outdoor time together and kept all of us warm on the beach on our UK holiday. We probably wouldn’t have been out anywhere near as much without it. It is handy and reusable. I say I try to be eco-conscious but I cannot do it all and as I have said, I am always honest about that and always have been on every platform. The aspects of being eco run so deep that it is hugely time consuming, takes up a lot of research and even so called green companies can be far from perfect or greenwashing so I am doing the best I can as I go along. I am certainly no expert, I don’t have a background in sustainability and I haven’t studied it. I know a lot of accounts who have taken environmental studies and they are great to learn from but that isn’t me. I am a Mum, working from home, trying to be more eco-friendly and sharing what I learn.
I wasn’t confused with your point I was just trying to show that I take on all types of work and not all will be down the eco line.
No I cannot control who enters a giveaway but it is a nice way of giving back. Most bloggers will run giveaways and yes, a lot of companies will ask you to do this as a package. In this case it was just a way of promoting cloth nappies a little further.
This looks amazing! I’m definitely going to have to get one for myself 🙂
