Review | Life’s A Beach Image By Crafty Cut-Outs

*Gifted Product

When it comes to creating rooms in a house, every detail counts and even though I am no interior design whizz, I do take pride in making my home look and feel nice whilst adding unique touches that make it ‘us’. One of the rooms that I am particularly in love with is William’s nursery. When I chose a nautical theme I never imagined it would result in such a comfortable and calming space but I am so glad it has.

Review | The Mozy- An Outdoors Wrap With A Difference

*Paid Collaboration

You may have realised by now that we are a very outdoorsy family. We love exploring new places, going on long walks and being close to nature. What you may not have realised about me is that I cannot stand being cold. In fact, once my body gets too cold I find it hard to warm up and that can often put a dampener on a day out. So, on those chillier days good clothing, a warm jacket and a blanket are often taken out with us especially if we are sitting somewhere for a picnic or on the beach. However, a blanket doesn’t really do a great job. With gaps around the underneath of you, the constant re-aligning of it due to the kids jumping on you and the lack of consistent warmth, sometimes it just doesn’t seem worth it and I thought I was just destined to forever be moaning that I am cold. But then Get The Mozy contacted me… Continue reading “Review | The Mozy- An Outdoors Wrap With A Difference”

Being more eco-friendly doesn’t stop with ditching those plastic bags or using natural cleaners, for me it is a lifestyle change which means finding businesses and solutions for all areas. I want to be able to say that I am doing the absolute best that I can, I want to know that my carbon footprint is being significantly reduced and feel happy that I am keeping my waste to a minimum. And once you start looking for products you will be pleasantly surprised by how many are available to us, it’s just the case of changing how we shop (not everything needs to come from the supermarket!) Toiletries, cosmetics and other self-care items all tend to come to us wrapped in plastic, contain a variety of perfumes and chemicals and are often tested on animals before coming to us. Nurture Collective is a gorgeous ethical online store run by a like-minded eco-conscious Mum, Miriam. Having previously worked in busy London, she went from being a high flying executive to Mum and suddenly found that her perspective on life and our planet had shifted.

“I suddenly felt complete, and yet along came with it a deep and burning desire to love to protect and nurture this incredible creation! It all started with Yasmin’s baby products, wanting them to be chemical-free and then it quickly progressed to her baby clothing and I felt that my eyes had been opened to a realisation of all the processes our products and clothing goes through even before it ends up in our hands.”

Everything this shop stands for is important to me; natural, sustainable, ethical, recyclable, handmade, UK made… the list goes on, which is why I knew that working with them was the perfect fit for us both! And with Mother’s Day just around the corner what better time to review their gorgeous Box of Love. Continue reading “Review | Nurture Collective’s Box of Love”

Review | Eco Cleaning with E-Cloth

*Gifted Products

I really do like a clean house but I really detest having to use chemicals. I have become far more aware of the amount most people use every single day around their homes and this not only affects the environment but can also affect your health, your children’s and any pets you may own too. I’ve recently been making my own cleaning products in order to steer clear of all of these toxins but then e-cloth got in touch with me and told me they had cloths that enabled you to clean using only water!! Yes, just water. Continue reading “Review | Eco Cleaning with E-Cloth”

Review | The Massage Company, Camberley

*Gifted Massage

As a busy Mum of 2, I am always promising myself I will take better care of my body and general well-being but in reality, life can be just too much of a juggle and it’s not until something really happens that I sit up and take notice. That something just recently was my back giving in. As in, I was busy tidying up in the house one minute and laying flat on the floor the next! I’d known there was some tightness in my back and hips, I was very aware that each time I stood up my pelvis took some time to align and I looked like an 80-year-old woman, yet, I put off seeing anybody because I simply did not have the time. Such an excuse, isn’t it? Continue reading “Review | The Massage Company, Camberley”
