Prepaid cards offer protection in case something goes wrong

While prepaid cards aren’t perfect, they do offer some protection in case something goes wrong when booking a flight. Some banks will charge high overdraft fees, averaging $33 per transaction, so you may want to think about getting one of these cards to cover any potential losses. They also have liability protection, so you won’t have to worry about paying the fee if you use your card to pay for something. Those are two of the biggest reasons why some consumers opt for an American express platinum card when booking flights.

A prepaid card can help you avoid debt because you don’t have to worry about exceeding the amount you deposit. Additionally, it can be a great budgeting tool, because you won’t be spending more money than you have on the card. Prepaid cards can be loaded with money from your checking account, making them a convenient way to make restaurant purchases. You can even use these cards at the airport or for any other type of travel.

Airline ticket selling centers accept cash

Another way to avoid getting a flight credit when booking a flight with a credit card is to get a travel reward for using the airline. If you have points from previous trips, try to redeem them for airfare. Airlines often will give you a credit instead of a refund. That way, you can save the credits for future travels. And if you don’t need a refund, use your airline credits to upgrade your trip or purchase extras, such as hotels, car rentals, or cruises.
