How to Keep Your Home Cosy When Life Gets Busy

*Collaborative Post

Modern life rarely slows down. Between work, family, and endless to-do lists, it’s easy for the home to start feeling more like a pit-stop than a place to rest and recharge. Yet maintaining a sense of cosiness doesn’t have to mean elaborate decorating or hours spent tidying. The trick lies in creating small, consistent comforts that turn even the busiest days into something softer and more soothing.

How to use public Wi-Fi safely in airports, cafes and other public places

*Collaborative Post

There’s no denying the appeal of public Wi-Fi. It lets you check emails, browse the web, or stream content while you wait at the airport or relax in a café. But that convenience comes with risks. Public networks are notorious for exposing your personal information, so it’s important to take steps to protect yourself.

How To Make a Simple Grinch Costume

When it came to choosing a Halloween costume for this year, my youngest child was adamant that he wanted to go as The Grinch. Well, he is pretty mean and scary, AND we did already have the body made from our World Book Day make, which was very, very handy, so I thought, why not? This is how we transformed a little green monster costume into a simple Grinch costume.

How to Make A Little Green Monster ‘I Can Save The Earth’ Costume

*Affiliate Links

‘I Can Save The Earth’ book is a firm favourite in our house. Max, the little green monster, is a bit of a nightmare. He creates mess, he leaves taps running, he litters, he doesn’t care about anyone else, and he certainly doesn’t give the environment a second thought… Until one day, the power goes out. He steps outside and sees the beautiful full moon, the spring flowers and listens to the wildlife – he realises the world has wonders he has never taken in before. In the summer, he visits the beach and notices the sand and shells, he watches dolphins and collects litter to go in the bin. In autumn, he plays in the leaves and composts them, and in the winter, he realises how magical even one tiny snowflake is. His newfound love of the earth sparks a change in him. He no longer wastes water or electricity or creates mess. He now recycles, passes items on and even hugs trees. Max learns that the Earth is precious and needs protecting. The ideal book for any young budding environmentalist and a unique character to go as for World Book Day or other dress-up days your child may have. We made this costume for World Book Day 2025 and this is how we did it…

Balancing lifestyle and health needs is harder than it sounds. Your alarm screams at 6 AM. You’re already tired. Breakfast? No time for that. Your shoulder’s been bugging you for weeks but there’s too much on your plate today.

You tell yourself you’ll sort it out later. Later never comes. Most of us treat our bodies like they’re indestructible until they prove otherwise. That clicking knee can wait. The daily headaches are probably fine. Then one day your body decides it’s done waiting.

How to Turn Fun Family Activities Into Lasting Memories

*Collaborative Post

Family photoshoots are increasingly considered a meaningful tradition. They’ve been around for decades, and in recent years have resurfaced once more. For years, festive portraits or those taken during holiday periods have persisted. Christmas in particular has always been a great time for the family portrait, and has been a way for families to connect with each other. It’s actually such a time-honoured tradition that the Royal family even partakes as a way to preserve memories and celebrate time spent together. Additionally, it’s likely that this came from autumnal traditions as well such as going out for nature walks, leaf hunts, trick or treating, or heading out for Bonfire Night and some exciting fireworks. All of these events offer excellent opportunities to engage in spontaneous family photos, many of which are far better and more meaningful than more staged options.
