Review | WUKA Period Swim Bikini Brief

Swimming whilst on your period can be a bit of a pain. Exercise is such a great way of banishing those menstrual cramps but for some, the thought of getting into a pool during this time of the month can be daunting. You want to feel completely protected, you want to be comfortable and you want a product that will work with you not against you. In the past, tampons have been my go-to for swimming but since embarking on my eco journey, I haven’t wanted to use them. Of course, I have had to at times but funnily enough, since having my children, they have also become the most alien things to my body. I have been able to feel a tampon through every movement and couldn’t wait to remove it. Thankfully I then discovered the far more comfortable and eco-friendly menstrual cup but what do you do if you have a lighter period or if you want to swim towards the end of it? This is where WUKA period swim bikini brief can come into play and I have just been fortunate to review some during my recent annual holiday.

The Benefits of Taking Your Baby Swimming

When I became a Mum the first time around there were many changes in my life and I’m not just talking about the ones where I had to actually figure out what I was doing! Starting Swimming Lessons For My 4 Year Old With Turtle Tots

Swimming has always been an activity that I have done with my children from an early age. It is something we all love and I’ve always thought it is very important to teach them about water safety from the word go. However, when Jake was younger I wasn’t in the position to be able to afford swimming lessons and as we went to a pool once a week I believed I could help him to swim on my own.

Our Turtle Tots Brand Ambassadorship #bringonthesmiles

Well, our brand ambassadorship has come to a close and to say I am a little sad about that is an understatement. I am the first to admit that my attitude towards baby swimming hasn’t been the most positive in the past. When I had Jake, I thought people were crazy to pay out for a newborn to go swimming, for making the time and effort to go to a class when they were so sleep deprived and for getting their babies to swim under the water, all I could think was ‘how will this benefit them?!

Everything You Need to Take Your Baby Swimming

I remember when we first took Jake swimming as a 10-week old baby. Oh, the naivety. I had assumed that he would love it, I had assumed that other children would be more careful around a baby, I thought it would be beautifully warm and we would be in there for a while… not quite! He kinda liked it, other children don’t really care how much they splash you and he got cold, so cold that his lips turned blue. So it lasted about ten minutes and that was that, his very first swim over in a flash. But we were first-time parents. We hadn’t been swimming ourselves for years and we certainly hadn’t done our research into what was available for babies to make their experience better.
