My eco topics category is my latest addition to my blog. I decided to make changes to my lifestyle in 2018 because I knew we needed to take steps to become more eco-friendly. It began with the change to reusable nappies and wipes and from there I made a promise to continue to try and find other ways to improve our wasteful ways and at the same time offer up tips, advice and hopefully inspire others.

Making these changes has had such a positive impact on us as a family. We are enjoying finding new ways of doing things, we love talking about it with others and we are saving money too! Such a win! Eco topics are now a huge passion of mine and I hope you will enjoy them as much as we are.

An Honest Review of Fussy Deodorant

We all want to use products that are safe for us and the planet and an eco deodorant is one area I thought I had nailed. I switched to Wild around 5/6 years back and was happy but as many of us know, Wild were recently bought out by Unilever and as an unethical company, I just couldn’t continue supporting them. Greenwashing does not wash with me. So, I made the decision to step out and try new deodorants that had since hit the eco shelves. Fussy seemed to come highly rated by many of my readers and I liked the fact that it was very similar to Wild, so I have been trying it out and promised everyone a review. It has now been around 8 weeks of use and these are my honest thoughts…

A Green Takeover: Why I Will No Longer Be Supporting Wild

Well, it happened. We all read the news a couple of months back about Unilever being in line to purchase the green company Wild (at a wild amount) and most of us couldn’t believe it. Having worked with them for the last 5 years or so, I certainly couldn’t, so I contacted them directly, and was shocked when I received their bog standard copy and paste dancing around the query response. I truly thought they would have at least been a little more upfront with those who had supported them. As word got around, more people began questioning them, mostly on social media, but Wild either ignored their comments or deleted them. That was the point when we all knew the sell-out was coming. And sure enough, at the start of April, the £230 million deal(!) was done. Wild are now owned by the unethical company Unilever.
