Before I had William, I had a bit of a think about how I wanted to do some things differently with my second baby,9 to be specific and these included trying more classes, not listening to others’ comments, giving baby-led weaning a go, mastering expressing, breastfeeding for longer, amongst others. Well, he is now 18 months old so I thought I would do a follow-up post on what I have done differently with my second child that have worked because if I had known some of these things the first time around, I would have had an easier time and less stress I’m sure.

How To Wash Cloth Nappies
*Affiliate Links
One of the biggest worries when thinking about making the switch from single-use nappies to reusable nappies is the washing. Most parents gasp at the thought of more laundry loads each week, a lot of people imagine that I must be scrubbing my cloth nappies to get the stains out or that they need soaking in a bath for days prior to going into the machine. I promise you this much, none of this is true. There is nothing difficult about using and washing cloth nappies, they are no different from clothes and you will not need to be tackling it every day either. In fact, I find using and washing my reusables a joy.

Joie Spin 360 Review
When it came to making the swap from a newborn car seat to the next stage up I initially wasn’t sure what to go for. Since having my first child the law had changed to ensure that babies were rear-facing up until 15 months but with far more known about the impact of a crash and how a child’s body reacts in that instance there was far more evidence on the internet telling me that keeping them rear-facing up to 4 or 5 years was recommended. Review: What Wesley Wore
*Gifted Item
We love books in our house. Jake makes us read up to 5 books at bedtime and prior to having children, I would read crime thriller after crime thriller (when I had the time!) And then, of course, I self-published my own book and still have children’s books I’d love to get published and other ideas in my head so when Sam from Owlet Press asked us to review a brand new children’s book I was very excited. Not only is he the founder of Owlet Press but he’s also the author of ‘What Wesley Wore’
