7 Ways To Improve Your Lockdown Skin

*Ad

I don’t know about you but my skin during this last lockdown has really suffered. I think with it being during the winter months, being stuck indoors with the heating on and most of us feeling a lot lower, and with little motivation to take care of ourselves has all been a contributor and we are now emerging from it with spot outbreaks, dry patches, a lacklustre complexion and feeling pretty rubbish about it all. So, what can we do to help it? Here are my 7 ways that should improve your lockdown skin.

Skin Resurfacing Procedures Overview

*Collaborative Post

Your skin takes a beating throughout your life. Everything that goes into your body affects your skin, either positively or negatively. The same is true of anything you encounter or apply to your body, such as makeup or weather. Even natural changes in your body like hormone levels affect your skin, often in ways you may not like. To fix some of the damage caused by all of those issues, one option is to undergo skin resurfacing treatment. The question is which type of skin resurfacing is right for you? To answer that question, you need a better understanding of how each treatment works. Continue reading “Skin Resurfacing Procedures Overview”

Tips For Helping Dehydrated ‘Mum’ Skin

*Gifted Items- Brand Ambassador

My poor skin has always been dehydrated but add in being a Mum and it has more ups and downs than an episode of Eastenders! Throughout my teenage years, I suffered terribly with spots and blackheads and of course, tried out every single greasy skin remedy out there. Trouble was, I was making the issue worse because I was stripping my skin of the oils it so desperately needed, causing it to create even more and so a vicious cycle began. Beeutiful Valentine's Day Gift Box

Review | Beeutiful Valentine’s Day Gift Box

*Ad

I really love Valentine’s Day, I love the fact that we celebrate loving one another and I love that myself and my husband always make the effort to have a nice dinner at home, followed by profiteroles and he always buys me wine and flowers. What I don’t like about the day is the abundance of tacky presents in the stores, the giant teddies, the heart-shaped balloons and generally anything that’s a bit cringe.

My holiday is coming up and we have decided that after experiencing a rainy Wales last year we need sun, so Crete here we come! I am so excited. Treating Yourself With Nicola-Louise Makeup: Lash Lift and Tint

*Gifted Treatment

As a Mum, I find it extremely hard to put myself first and think about my own needs. I often have unruly eyebrows, I only wear makeup to hide my tired skin and eye bags and a treat nowadays is getting a bubble bath squeezed into an evening once in a blue moon! I am aware of how important it is to treat yourself and that in order to be the best parent you can be you need to be in tip-top health yourself but I am pretty rubbish at listening to my own advice. It often takes me to really push myself to book in some ‘me time’ because I always see other areas as my priority… Mainly housework! So, when my friend contacted me to say she had recently qualified in being able to give a lash lift and tint and offered to do mine, I jumped at the chance to enjoy some pampering time.

My Top Tips to New Mums for Looking Good

Looking good as a Mum is tough, isn’t it? I’ve had a few friends become new Mummy’s the last couple of weeks and it got me to thinking about how I found it having my first baby. I was pretty adamant that I didn’t need a book to tell me what to do or expect because, in my eyes, every baby is completely different; I chose to learn ‘on the job’. Brave or stupid? I’m still not sure!

One thing I wish I had been told about was how to cope with my new body shape, boobs that sprayed milk, hair that completely changed and how to deal with these issues when you have no time for yourself anymore.
