My poor skin has always been dehydrated but add in being a Mum and it has more ups and downs than an episode of Eastenders! I was fortunate enough to meet Carly from Beeutiful at a networking event for local businesses. After giving an informative talk on all that she has achieved in the last 5 years we had the opportunity to view and purchase the products she makes from home. All products have been individually created by Carly and have honey as their main ingredient. This honey comes directly from her own hives and she ensures that nothing goes to waste and, more importantly, that the bees are treated well and are always left with enough honey for themselves… I was unaware of the ins and outs of beekeeping but Carly is on top of bee conservation and environmental care.

Review: Tropic Skincare

I have had a bad relationship with my skin since I was about 10 years old. It began with a few blackheads appearing on my nose and led to greasy skin, large pores and huge, red, painful spots. Cue years of teen angst, feeling self-conscious and trying every spot remedy available on the market.

I was brutal with my skin, through scrubbing, picking and squeezing spots to over-cleansing, steaming and exfoliating. With the lack of knowledge about skincare and the thought that my spots were generated by bacteria, I didn’t realise that I was actually doing more harm than good.
