Visiting Lake Kournas, Crete

We have recently got back from a gorgeous family holiday in Crete and I am just sitting here dreaming of going back to the sea and the sun… bliss! We booked a fantastic family-friendly resort and spent most of our time in our ‘resort bubble’, just enjoying the pools, beach and evening meals and entertainment. It’s not often that we go on a holiday and don’t venture out much but with having two young children and no hire car, we decided that it was easier to stay put this time around. However, the hotel did offer a land train ride to the local tourist attraction, Lake Kournas which was a perfect way for us to travel there– Jake was incredibly excited– and it meant we could see a bit of what the local area had to offer on the short journey.
