Visiting Moors Valley Country Park

As a family, we love being outdoors and discovering new places. preparing your child for the start of reception year

Preparing Your Child For The Start of Reception Year

In a few weeks time, back to school will be upon us and for some children and parents, it will be the start of a brand new journey. The start of reception year. This was us this time last year and I remember all of those feelings all too well.

Nerves, excited, niggling worries, apprehension, so many questions… and most of this can’t be answered by other people because, as you’ll see, each child will take to reception differently and it’s not until you are in there and doing it that you’ll be able to gauge how this year is going to go. All you can do for now is prepare both yourself and your child the best you can.

Why I am Digging Out My Running Shoes to Raise Money For Bliss

Exercise has always been a big part of my life. I enjoyed it throughout school and have always had active, physical jobs. I have loved classes such as Pilates, step aerobics, Zumba and Hiit as well as running. I even lifted kettlebells and Bulgarian bags during my second pregnancy! Safely, of course, under the watch of an experienced fitness instructor. I wanted to be strong, fit and healthy in order to get the natural birth I so eagerly wanted after experiencing a traumatic emergency c-section with my first baby. And I was doing really well. My fitness levels were probably the best they had ever been, I was strong, I loved working out and it gave me focus.
