Attending The Grand Opening Of Mighty Claws Adventure Golf

We were recently invited to attend a VIP grand opening of the new Mighty Claws Adventure Golf in Hedge End, Southampton which we jumped at the chance of going to as we knew Jake would have a blast playing crazy golf for the first time.

Located at Hedge End Golf Centre, Mighty Claws Adventure golf is the latest to be built with the other two sites at Bournemouth and Colchester. The theme of the Adventure Golf is all based on fun dinosaur books written by author Nat Luurtsema who also attended the grand opening.

Since having my children there have been a few things that have started to, well, er, go wrong with my body. The greys, the bags under my eyes, the bad back and most recently my eyesight– thanks relaxin hormones! So, when Leightons got in contact to ask if I’d like to go for a hearing test my first thoughts were ‘oh, that sounds great’ and my second thoughts immediately went ‘oh, no, please don’t tell me I’m going deaf too?!’ Well, there was only one way to find out and I was really interested to know so I agreed to pop along to my local branch here in Basingstoke to undergo a comprehensive hearing test.

Right, so this week has been interesting to say the least! If you have been following me on social media you will by now be all too aware of the new Pampers influencer campaign designed to prove that their nappies are in fact the driest out there. Seems like the normal type of advert for single-use nappies right? Always trying to prove their nappies will keep a baby’s bum the driest. Yep, except that in this instance they decided to take their marketing steps too far by asking parents/influencers/bloggers to take 2 perfectly good nappies and soak them with water to really prove their point. Now, if that had been 1 nappy on a TV ad I doubt any of us would have batted an eyelid. I mean we’ve seen that most days on our screens for over 30 years now haven’t we? However, when they are asking 100’s of people to pour 200 ml of water on each of them to test which is drier on their cheeks all for a huge Instagram campaign, well that’s a different story…
