Bringing The Disney Magic Home With shopDisney

*Gifted Products from shopDisney feature in this blog post. As always, all opinions are my own.

This year we were so, so lucky to be able to have the opportunity to not only take a holiday in Florida but to also visit Disney World for the very first time. It was a lifelong dream of mine and that Disney Magic did not let me down. I absolutely loved it and could have easily chosen every Disney plush toy to bring home with me but unfortunately, that wasn’t possible, so you can imagine my pure excitement when shopDisney got in touch to ask if we (and when I say we I mean the kids but I secretly knew they meant me too!) wanted to review some of their fantastic merchandise.

Review | Evening Primrose Oil From Epsilon Life

*Paid Collaboration

I am not new to Evening Primrose Oil and actually took it after finishing my breastfeeding journey with my first child, Jake, because one big problem decided to hit me like a ton of bricks– PMS.  I’d never had too many issues in that area prior to becoming a Mum but I guess everything went a bit haywire after pregnancy and my hormones didn’t seem to want to settle back down to normal levels. At the time, I took the initiative to do some research on what could help and I stumbled across the benefits of Evening Primrose Oil which included helping women through PMS issues. I went on to find a great balance with the other remedies which included reflexology, exercise, relaxation, and I thought I had it all sussed.

In my bid to make my life far more eco-friendly, I am always on the lookout for anything that will help our planet. Whether that is making a small swap like using bars of soap, reusing shopping bags, taking my own bottled water out or bigger things like switching to cloth nappies and reusable wipes, every small change is for the better. One area that is always going to be tough is not always buying new. I have made the step towards checking pre-loved sites more and learning which charity shops have the best turnover of stock but there will always be items that I am not willing to purchase secondhand or which may not be available. With this in mind, I have to learn to shop as eco-friendly as I can, I have to choose better quality items that will last and can then be passed on once we are done with them and I need to look into how those items have been produced. I know that this may sound a bit much but in our current climate, we all need to be more responsible when it comes to our lifestyles.

As you’ll all probably know by now, my eco journey is ever-growing and there is rarely a week that goes by where I’m not trying out something new or researching products and looking for new ways to reduce my waste, to help the environment and to be more sustainable. It’s become a passion as well as a hobby! And as a blogger I am very lucky to be in a position to be able to hear about the latest products and to have the opportunity to try them out and to then, of course, let you lovely lot know about them. Review | New Elements Easyfit Reusable Nappies by Totsbots

*Gifted Reusable Nappies

Reusable nappies have become a passion of mine (something you may have noticed!) Since making the swap in June last year I have gradually built up a stash big enough to wave goodbye to single-use nappies for good, I have talked about the ease of the switch and have tried my best to spread the word that reusable nappies are the way forward for our environment. However, the benefits of changing aren’t all about being eco-friendly. We have discovered that William is far more comfortable in reusables, that he never gets nappy rash and that we are saving ourselves a lot of money in long-run. If that isn’t enough to tempt you just yet, perhaps the designs will?! Have you SEEN today’s reusable nappies?

Unless you’ve been living under a rock just recently, you will be very aware that Toy Story 4 has hit the cinema’s and subsequently broken box office records. It’s been 25 years since the release of the very first film and as somebody who remembers the lead up to that film, I was just as excited as my child was when we heard that another was coming out. The loveable characters took all of our hearts and after the sad ending of Toy Story 3, who would have thought they would have been back with more to come? I certainly didn’t.

Joie Spin 360 review

Joie Spin 360 Review

When it came to making the swap from a newborn car seat to the next stage up I initially wasn’t sure what to go for. Since having my first child the law had changed to ensure that babies were rear-facing up until 15 months but with far more known about the impact of a crash and how a child’s body reacts in that instance there was far more evidence on the internet telling me that keeping them rear-facing up to 4 or 5 years was recommended. Now, having a first child who absolutely hated facing backwards I was in two minds over what to do with my second child but as we all know, they are all very different to one another and he quickly proved that he was happy rear-facing. So, after a bit of deliberation, I headed off to our local Mothercare to see what they could recommend for my child and car.
