Visiting The Living Rainforest

We discovered The Living Rainforest in Berkshire a few years ago and I couldn’t believe I hadn’t heard of it sooner. Situated in Thatcham near Newbury, Berkshire this indoor gem is an ecological and educational centre which attracts visitors all year round. It provides a tropical environment based across 3 rooms in which you can discover wonderful plants, insects and animals all of which are becoming endangered in our rainforests today. If you love The Eden Project you will also love it here!

Review: Creating Memories with Photowall

With William arriving prematurely, it has been a very different experience to what it is usually would be when you have a baby. One of the most notable differences is not being able to create beautiful, memorable photos from the moment they are born. Of course, photos can be taken in NICU but they aren’t ones you would want to put up around the house, are they? It is amazing to watch your baby’s progress and to document it via pictures but I was longing to be able to take a stunning photo of my boys together at last.

I have such a love-hate relationship with maternity wear. Don’t you find that there is such a gap in the market? We start to gain water and weight from before 12 weeks yet all the maternity wear is aimed at the size you are from around 7 months. Nothing fits from your normal wardrobe and you end up traipsing the shops for the very limited range of maternity clothes available to you. ‘Oh you can buy it online’ you hear time and time again but I don’t always want to buy online, I want to go into a shop, look at the sizes and try them on! And why are the styles mostly floaty, high necked, v-necked and with unflattering cut sleeves? Pregnant women are still the same people and even though their bodies change their tastes and fashion sense don’t; we want to feel like us as much as we can!

With Halloween behind us, it is now the time to think further ahead to Christmas. I’m not usually very organised but this year I decided to make a change and ensure that I don’t leave it all until the week before. Joie Commuter Travel Cot Review

With the imminent arrival of baby number two, we have been looking into the essential items that we need to purchase or replace. We do have a second-hand travel cot from Jake’s baby days but it has always been a tricky one to set up so I was eager to see what else was now available on the market as I know children’s products adapt and change so rapidly.

The main reasons being that I love the colour– yes this is important to me– I love the changing mat feature, how easy would this make life when you are away?
